Here are five sex acts that put you at a higher risk for all the misfortunes that you want to avoid when you get intimate with someone. These can result in STDs, unplanned pregnancies and a whole lot of worrying. Being careful--or better yet, avoiding them--will stand you in good stead!
Multiple Partners
The risks of promiscuous behaviour are obvious to say the least. As tempting as it may be, having multiple sexual partners can result in STDs, even if you practice safe sex. Remember, there's no foolproof protection against unsafe sex!
You are essentially aiding the transmission of diseases by doing this. In other words, monogamy does have a very healthy upside afterall!
Soliciting Prostitutes
While we don't want to judge, but the fact remains that this happens to be one of the riskiest and illegal--at least, in India--sexual practices. Statistics and studies clearly prove that majority of prostitutes are infected with multiple STDs. They also have the highest rate of HIV infection.
It’s safe to say that you will be better off taking a cold shower than scouring the streets for some late night action!
Inebriated Sex
Drunk decisions are mostly stupid decisions! When you’re under the influence of alcohol or drugs, your mind is simply not capable of making rational decisions--especially if you are an emotionally fragile person! While a drunken hook up sounds tempting, be sure to keep your wits about you no matter what.
You’re likely to not use protection or do things you otherwise wouldn't, so it's best to refrain from sex when you know your judgement is impaired. Just learn to say "No!"
Anal Sex
We’re not trying to judge people on the basis of their preferences--and much less their sexuality--but it just so happens that anal sex is extremely risky. It's especially dangerous when it's unprotected, which is why a condom is an absolute must!
Aside from that and the obvious vulnerability of the rectum and sphincter tissues, which are prone to tearing, there is also an increased risk for anal cancer. All in all, there’s only one upside, and that is no chance of an unwanted pregnancy!
Unprotected Sex
This is Sex Ed 101! Any sexually active person should make use--or insist on the usage--of a condom no matter how comfortable you are with your partner/s. A condom works 99% of the time, when it protects against, both pregnancies and STDs
You simply don’t have an excuse to avoid protection, unless you are actually hoping to get pregnant!
