Samsung has given a taste of things to come, ahead of this year’s
Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Korean electronics giant has
made some of the best displays out there and by the look of things it
is going to continue to do so. First up is the Samsung Series 9 quad-HD
monitor that is crafted using a Plane Line Switching (PLS) panel.
The Series 9 monitor has a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and edge-to-edge anti-glare glass screen. The screen sits on an adjustable aluminum stand that houses USB, DisplayPort, dual-link DVI, and HDMI connectors. This monitor also features a 7-watt speaker and Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) for use with compatible mobile devices. This top of the line monitor does not have a release date yet, but the price-tag is expected to be $1,199.99.
